“This is a great stop for travelers passing through town. The historic hotel is really cool and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant/bar in the building is really convenient. Staff are all super nice.”
“Surprising place to stay. We needed a place between CO and MO. So, a stop in Wilson was convenient. Building was built in the 1890’s and they’ve added plumbing and electricity along with an elevator but the decor looks like original that has been kept up. If you are passing along I-70 and like unique little towns, this is a great place. Quaint little town to walk around and see the Czech eggs that decorate this village. Enjoy.”
“Delicious food. Lots of $$$ choices. Enjoyed the patio & music in the evening. We would go again.”
“Loved this historical hotel. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Everything is clean. Special touches to the breakfast (overnight oatmeal in mason jars, kolaches , salami and cheese… ). Rooms are very simple and true to the history of the hotel. The town is quaint and worth the visit.”
I felt like in a movie gone back in time. Historic Hotel with sympathetically renovated/ decorated rooms. Our corner room was extra special with having three Windows overlooking the giant egg.- The Restaurant served excellent steak but although staples like meat loaf and the bar has a huge whiskey and bourbon selection. loved being able to go for a late night walk to view all the little eggs too.

“The history surrounding this hotel and community are amazing! The hotel is very clean with the awesome upgrades for its age. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the community “eggs” are very interesting! If you are traveling and need to stop, “Czech” this place out!”
Great historical hotel with period style rooms and furniture and views of the world’s largest Easter egg.
Spent a peaceful night in this clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel and enjoyed a tasty burger and whisky in the sample room bar in the basement.

“As always, I experienced a great stay and enjoyed dinner in the restaurant below. Wish I could have stayed for Czech Fest, looked like a lot of fun!”
“Wonderful location of an historical place that exudes the charm of an English flower garden in full bloom complete with conversation-provoking metal sculptures and the ambiance of Kansas farm country mixed with the cultural touches of Eastern Europe.”
“I enjoyed my stay at this historic landmark. The hotel itself is full of charm and is a credit to the town of Wilson. It is obvious that the hotel is in keeping with this quaint little town and is central to the community. The Staff were very friendly and accommodating.”
“This was my second stay at The Midland and it was even better than the first! The reason was, on this visit, I arrived in time to eat at the restaurant beneath the hotel. Not only the biggest order of fried pickles ever, but a nice wine list as well. Plus, the hotel is dog friendly and has breakfast!”
“This hotel is the best! If you’re on the road in Kansas, come stay. But know the restaurant is closed Mondays.”
“The Midland is a wonderful place! I highly recommend staying and enjoying all the hotel (and area) have to offer!”
“I love this place. Historic hotel combined with a great staff. The patio garden was beautiful and the restaurant food was great. I had a great solo trip.”

“Great place close to I-70 for a convenient pull off while traveling. Really enjoyed our stay!”
“You’re going to love this hotel! Great room, restaurant, and central to everything!”
We love, love this place. When traveling from Missouri to West Texas to visit relatives we have stayed at the Midland Railroad Hotel a half a dozen times. It is so unique, but it feels like home. The staff have always been super helpful and attentive. They remember we have stayed there before, which felt very special. It is super clean. We also love the restaurant – best chicken fried steak I have ever ate.
This historic hotel is a hidden gem. We did not stay overnight so I cannot speak to the quality of the rooms however just walking through the place makes you feel like it could be 1910. We are at the bar/restaurant that is located in the basement. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and loved the deserts even more. We all ordered drinks and they were made extremely well. I am often disappointed in cocktails at restaurants that I go to but not here. I would definitely recommend this place!
Loved this place! The staff was very friendly, the food was excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the town was charming.
Wonderful interesting destination. Fantastic food. Great service. Excellent locale for small meeting.
Rooms here are very comfy!! And they have free WiFi that actually worked. Bathroom clean and updated, nice beds… loved the stay!!! Would come again – this place also very sturdy and historic, it’s got a lot of charm!!! Awesome!! Oh and staff is really kind, lady at front desk helped us open the sofa into a bed and was very accommodating, really lovely people… it felt like home.Come stay here, it feels homey and not like every old chain hotel. Thanks so much for your hospitality and for a great stay and being our oasis during a bad storm, your kindness really meant a lot.
“This was a return stay for our family and it was again a great place to stop on our long drive. The apartment was comfortable and the location was charming and very convenient. The breakfast at the hotel was also a great way to start off the morning. This has become our place to stay on our way through Kansas.”
